    If you go with a guided company normally they will be able to provide a checklist to be sure you don't leave anything important at home but here are some suggestions:

    Personal Technical equipment:
    * Mountaineering boots (high mountain itineraries require plastic or good quality insulated leather with rigid enough soles to fit crampons on.
    * Ice axe (s)
    * Crampons with "anti-botte"
    * Helmet
    * Gaiters (these should be compatible with your boots)
    * Harness (good to have adjustable leg straps so that you can put it on/off without taking boots off)
    * Telescopic walking poles (optional, nice for approaches and descents)
    * Headlamp (should be able to fit over helmet spare battery

    Personal equipment:
    * Sunglasses (high protection) and Sun cream / lip cream (factor 20 )
    * Ski goggles (in case of high wind / blowing snow)
    * 40 litre rucksack
    * Water bottle
    * Thin gloves & Thick gloves (especially good if they can be worn one over the other)
    * Warm hat
    * Balaclava (extra scarf-like thing to keep neck and ears warm)
    * Sun hat
    * Small blister kit (inc. some tape and/or “Compeed” patches)
    * Earplugs (very important for the huts!)

    Personal clothes:
    * Gortex style waterproof jacket
    * Gortex style waterproof pants
    * 2 Fleece
    * 2-3 Additional insulating layer top
    * 1-2 Additional insulating layer bottom (longjohns etc.)
    * Three pairs thick socks
    * Three pairs thin socks
    * Changes of clothing for valley
