Getting to Verbier by Train and Bus

Verbier sits high on the hilltop. From Le Chable (the village at the bottom of the hill), Verbier can be accessed by cable car or by road. If you take the train to Le Chable, you will have to connect to a bus to go all the way to Verbier or take the cable car.
Remember that Switzerland has an excellent reputation for its punctuality. Don't be late because the trains and buses do tend to run, well like clockwork.Public Transportation: The Swiss Train & Bus network

- The bus station in the centre of Verbier is called the Post Office (station poste).
- From Martigny you can go by bus to Trient, Sion and the hotsprings (Saillon Les Bains).
- Once in Verbier there is a free day-time bus service for the resort. Check: Local Transport. Getting to Verbier from:

From Geneva count on 2 hr 30min - 3 hours travel time to Verbier. There are about 2 direct trains per hour to Martigny and one with a train change. In Le Châble you will have to change from the train to the Car Postale, but it is not that inconvenient.
- From the airport get on the CFF Simplon line to Martigny.
- From Martigny you take the Grand St. Bernard Express to Le Châble (last stop)
